The Introduction of the Ipod

First i pod




Portable MP3 players became even more portable in 2001, when Intel launched the first "roomy" 128MB player, thePocket Concert, for $300. Intel's player was an initial success because of the low price and higher storage capacity, but the company killed off the Pocket Concert when it shuttered its home-electronics division later that year.

Also in 2001, audio-player underdog Apple introduced the first iPod, which had a 1.8-inch Toshiba 5GB hard drive and a large black-and-white display. Sold for $400, the first iPod came paired with iTunes software and was compatible only with Macs

    1. 1st Gen ipod (in reference to apple)
    2. iPOD touch 4th Gen with 32gb hard disk and dual cameras.
    3. Supposedly the iPOD touch 5th Gen will come out with the new software and hardware of the iphone 4S!

    1. 1G or First Generation iPod
    2. 6G iPod Nano, 4G Shuffle and 4G Touch. For 6G Nano, it includes multi-touch screen. 4G Shuffle features VoiceOver. Lastly, 4G Touch includes 2 cameras for FaceTime and HD video recording.
    3. It most probably will called 5G iPod Touch. The features will most likely have same features as iPhone 4S, such as vibration for notification.
